Our Mission

Famous Fido's Rescue mission is to save as many animals as possible. We work together to build towards a no more homeless, no-kill Chicago.

Each day, thousands of dogs slip through the cracks and are put down. People think this is better for the animal, we at Famous Fido disagree. By working together we can find a solution to this terrible fate.

Famous Fido is currently working to establish foster care programs, and building an Alliance to come up with viable solutions for these dogs. We are working with shelters and individuals to help these homeless animals.

Famous Fido is a temporary support system and foster facility that gives veterinary care, attention and love to homeless dogs until they can be provided with a great home that fits with the animal.

We at Famous Fido are dedicated to bringing forth a new way of thinking and building an alliance of like-minded people to find solutions for these animals, once and for all. No dog should be euthanized or locked in a cage for months on end. Famous Fido is determined to move this city past this unfortunate reality.
